Please advise on how to change the script so that when it reaches the last item it goes to the start without rapidly backwards scrolling through the entire list.

Great script! But it doesn't seem to be working properly in IE8. It just displays a static image. Tested and works fine in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Is there some kind of fix for this that anyone's found?
